WHY TO NOT USE LINUX : Part 1

Hi friends after completion of my 6 series long " Why to Use Linux " Posts Now i came up with new Post series Named "why to Not use Linux " . In this Series i'll talk about why no to Linux , what are disadvantages of linux , whY Most of peoples not use linux , Why Linux is Not ready For desktop yet etc .



"Nothing is perfect . EveryThing has its own pros and Cons , Lets Read the cons of linux"

lets start:

1) Hard To install : Installing Windows is very much Straight forward process . Even a beginner / NonGeek person can easily install it as You just have to press next .next.next , But ! Installing Linux is Not so easy . The hardest and confusing part Of lInux installation is Disk partitioning . In disk partitioning YOu have to Choose swap drive , root drive , Boot loader , Partition type etc. Manually which is harder for beginner to learn . Small Mistake can wipe of all data in Your disk as it happened to me in 2010 while installing Opensuse . Even Now many Linux distros Still use CUI Interface for installation which makes it further difficult . Generally saying Installing Linux is Not so simple as Installing Windows . Only Geeks Can Generally do that . Using process only comes after installation But what ! if You can't install it ?


2) Instability behind stability : In my previous posts i said that linux is very much stable than Windows but reality is linux is also Unstable . It is unstable not because of virus or other problem but due to Frequent loop of Bugs which are dominant in Linux shell . As linux distros are updated and released in very short time period and very few people Engage in Making of particular distro (Not saying kernel/apps ,For example Puppy Linux is made by berry Culer + few others) Bugs in linux are common .You can ask the Distributer about Bugs and they provide a solution in short time but Frequent Bugs are Not good at all . It damages Your linux experience very much .

3) Software ??? What to install : All of us know that extension of every windows application are .exe / .msi But for Linux ? Each distro has its own application extension . For example Puppy based Linux has .pet extension , RedHat based distro have .Rpm extension , Debian based distro have .deb extension and so on . Each distro have different extension for Its application . And next boring part You can't install application of one distro to Other distro Without using Alien like 3rd party console programme . most of linux users downloads application from software center From which You can't backup these application for offline/future use , What - if You downloaded and installed huge 1GB game to your laptop and want to give it to Your Friend ? Its impossible in Linux . Your Friend have to download This game again in his computer . Isn't It boring ? As you donot have backup package You have to reDownload all the applications again in each installation of OS . Its the worst part of linux .


4) Offline Computer ? Forgot about Linux : Internet is heart of linux . Without Internet its just like television with only one channel . Either You have to install
softwares or have to Update Your computer - Internet is vital . Linux is absolutely Not For Those people who donot have internet connection at their Home .From OS to softwares all things are available only in internet . Even its free to download what to do if You donot have internet ?? And Many peoples in the world still donot have internet connectivity . It is the main problem behind un-popularity of linux.
