17) Oh Why my laptop battery went away so much fast ?>> Its the question most of window user ask .The suggestion is minimize your CPU and RAM consumption , Screen brightness , Close heavy applications etc . In windows The normal RAM consumption ( While not running any external apps) is almost 1400 MB ..If we run external apps sometime it goes beyond 2 GB . Its the power usage of windows . In linux The normal RAM consumption is ( Ubuntu based ) 500-600 MB . Calculate Yourself how much external power that windows has consumed just to load its Base functionality . And what about laptop battery consumption ? Answer Yourself .
21) Quality of software and development ...-> In windows most of the applications are close sourced means others beside its developer , have no access to its source code . They have no information about how it was built . Suppose some programmer get the source code of some music player , what he'll do ? he search for good and bad part of that program . He think how this software can be customized to better serve users . He applies his imagination to it and starts to develop in new way . Now we are seeing Such a huge development is Computer field , How its possible ? It became possible only By open source programmes and open source developers . one open source programmer is giving birth to 1000's of other programmers . Open source programmes are great because it has directly helped to increase productivity and quality of software , it has helped to propel technology forward not only profit for company . It helped to create Thousand of creative and great minds worldwide fighting Ultra closed source monopoly like Microsoft . I'm sure we are now using more advanced OS than that of now we're using if Microsoft /Apple has made windows/Mac open-source. Foundation of linux is serve the people , propel the technology not serve the company , grow the profit .

-> Windows and MAC are becoming more and more "resource hungry" , Benefit to hardware companies - death to ozone layer

You may have used android device ! Unknowingly you're using a highly tweaked Linux distro .

26) Hackers ??? : Are You a hacker or some computer geek or just want to be ? If so than linux is gift for You . without knowing to use linux You'll never be hacker neither True computer geek . Most of the hacking operations are done from Linux . There are so many distros and tools dedicated for hacking purpose only . For hacking there are very few windows tools available because hacking needs hardcore use of Console Not GUi , And windows have bypassed Console Far away . Not all hacking is bad , Ethical hacking is very much important in computer security field .
27) Disk Partitioning : PArtitioning hard-disk in windows is one of the most daunting task , as it takes long time and sometime it's impossible to partition without using complex 3rd party apps . If You are Going to partition HDD Than linux would be the Best choice , As it Has built in tool named Gparted which enables You to Partition Hard-disk in simple manner . Personally To partition My hard-disk Or of others computer I always use linux distro .
28) Server ! which OS to use ? Server are these Powerful computers which Hosts the Huge world of webpages , Music, Videos and many other things which You access via internet browser . The server computer Needs to be opened 24 hours a day and 365 days of year . The Small Problem in server can Produce huge damage in web community . This means every server have to use That type of OS which is fast , secure , Stable and Powerful . You can get all these things In linux . Most of servers Nearly 90 % USE linux as their HOST OS . This means Linux is the best choice for Server computers .
29) Repairing windows -> Problems LIKe BSOD , Virus , Blank screen etc are common for most of the windows users . Suppose YOur windows PC is filled with so many virus that Your computer Refused to startup , Than what can You do ..either You need To clean virus somehow or to install New Operating system . Installing New operating system means Formatting C drive . Did You have fear of losing Important Data there ( Most of laptops come up with Only One partition) ? At that point what can You Do . Use Linux ! Start Your computer With linux and Move all important data To other computer or external drives Or Install Linux to that PC . Its just one example . there are so many Problems where LInux needs Vitally . For example - Forgetting windows password , Forgetting wifi password , Windows Boot sector problem , Cleaning virus , Repartitioning disk and many more .
30) USE OS without installing -> Can You Run wndows in Your Computer without installing ? No . You can't . To Run windows in your computer you need to install it first . But this is not true for linux . You can run linux in Your computer without installing . Just insert Bootable linux USB or DVD to Your computer and boot it up ! Its so easy . Its best for those who just want to get taste of linux . Its also useful when You have to troubleshoot computer .
31) Install OS with playing Music or browsing internet :-> While Installing windows You can't Listen music or browse internet , But at LInux installation time you can do all these things . Linux installation is somehow like installing some Huge application like ms Office in windows . You can play music , games and even browse internet with Installation of your favourite distro .

18) Small size harddisk ? windows donot agreed to sit ? -> . All right ! The fresh installation of windows consumes almost 10 GB (7) to 20 GB (8) of Your local drive space. For the HDD having 20 Gb of local disk size , where to install OS and where to install other apps ? its the biggest problem . Either you need to upgrade HDD or you'll need to repartition HDD swapping space from other disks . Its the REsult of Large disk consumption of windows OS . I'm sure windows 10 will consume More than 40 GB LDD space . In LInux local disk consumption on fresh installation is ranging from 100 Mb to 5 GB . Which is far more smaller Than that of windows . And this consumption is with dozens of preinstlled application not only Of OS . Isn't it great .
19) HOW window Designers Code OS , consuming more and more space , more and more RAM , More and more resource , More and more power . Linux -> More and more feature with feasible power consumption . Sometime i think , what the windows developers are doing ? in modern age we need to search for the way of getting more and more efficiency with less power consumption . What the Windows developers are doing is directly ANTI . What to do?
20) Customization which you never get in windows . If you are student , if you are gamer , if you are programmer , learner, geek , scientist , hacker ...Linux is ready to serve you , with its different flavours and customizations . For student edubuntu , for normal users ubuntu , for hackers backtrack , for scientists scientific linux.....For people of every profession !
